Cash for Clunkers

We took advantage of the cash for clunkers deal..We did this primarily becuase of Chrysler's match of the money..You can generally get 4,500 off of any deal, but not 9,000..The dealer also came off a few more $$..So, In the end we got a 21,000 car for 11,000..We decided on a Dodge Avenger..It would replace Brendan's 92 Jeep Cherokee with 199k milage..When I drove it to the dealer it was making all kinds of noises, but it made it and we did the deal..Pretty seamless..I did all the haggling over the phone, so when I got there all I had to do is sign the papers..I never drove the car until I drove it home..I was surprised how good it drove..Brendan was very excited, and happy to be driving a new car..I was happy, cause I didn't have to worry about his safety as much, and I dont have to add oil every week..I may actually save money by doing this..However, the insurance did go up..good thing Brendan has a job..

My first blog post... I'm officially a blogger, thanks to my wife. Since no one wants to listen to me, my opinion, my predictions...I now have a place that I can talk to my hearts content!
